UKIEE 2027 welcomes relevant participation from universities, research institutions, academics, doctoral and postgraduate researchers, recent graduates, early-career professionals and selected undergraduate students.
Participation routes are designed to support academic-industry engagement while preserving the professional, business-to-business character of the exhibition and conference.
Academics and research professionals
University faculty, researchers, laboratory teams, technology-transfer professionals and representatives of applied-research organisations may register through the academic and research route.
Doctoral and postgraduate researchers
PhD, doctoral, master’s and other postgraduate researchers may apply where their research, technical work or professional interests align with the UKIEE energy scope.
Recent graduates and early-career professionals
Individuals who have recently completed relevant study or are developing an early career in energy, engineering, technology, investment, policy, research or project delivery may register without a current employer.
Undergraduate students
A limited number of relevant undergraduate students may participate through designated academic, skills, university-group or programme arrangements.
Conference access is not automatic.
Independent professionals
Consultants, researchers, advisers and other professionals working independently may register using their professional details and current area of activity.
Participants not currently affiliated
Applicants who are not presently employed by or enrolled with an organisation may select “Not currently affiliated” and provide information about their relevant experience, study or professional interest.

Depending on eligibility, programme relevance and capacity, participation may include:
- exhibition access;
- conference delegate access;
- academic or research sessions;
- University and Research Pavilion activities;
- Future Talent and Skills sessions;
- poster or research presentations;
- approved programme contributions;
- workshops and technical forums;
- university group visits;
- selected networking and professional-development activities.
Formal admission categories, fees and access arrangements will be published after the venue, programme and capacity have been confirmed.
